KAVIKAL GANDI

The Kavikal Gandi viewpoint also known as the horse shoe viewpoint is situated 11 kilometres away from Baba Budangiri, 18 kilometres away from Chikmaglur, and 11 kilometres away from Mullayanagiri. The Horse Shoe Viewpoint is very famous and is regarded as one of the most well-liked viewpoints offering breathtaking view- in the state of Karnataka’s Chikmaglur district.

This Viewpoint is a popular hilltop overlook in the state of Karnataka, is situated along the Mullayanagiri to Baba Budangiri route. There is a checkpost on the road here, and it’s not difficult to get to the Kavikal Gandi Viewpoint from there by ascending about 50 steps. This location is popular with nature enthusiasts, so be sure to include it in your travel itinerary to Chikmagalur when you go.

You can see the Chandra Drona range from the Kavikal Gandi Viewpoint. At the base of the hill, you will also notice a little idol of the god Hanuman. Up on the hilltop, you can currently see a painting of Swami Vivekananda if you go to the Viewpoint. This hill is always windy and pleasant to be on. You will also be treated to a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside from this scenic point. It takes around 30 to 60 minutes to reach this viewpoint.
